In most cases, no, because pastry crust isn't truly bread due to the lack of leavening and the fat to liquid and flour ratio. Some pies could qualify though. 9/22/23

No, dear. A sandwich is: "an item of food consisting of two pieces of bread with meat, cheese, or other filling between them, eaten as a light meal."

It can be. A sandwich doesn't have to include two pieces of bread with food in between like the definition says. Take ice cream sandwiches and ice cream cookie (round) sandwiches for example. 😀
