    No, its a pie. Its better than a sandwich. And not like most pies either. But I think it could easily be compared to an open face oven baked sandwich. Google says its a flatbread: "No. Pizza is a flatbread with accent toppings. Sandwiches are about the fillings or toppings, in the case of open face sandwiches. Flatbreads are about the bread."

      I disagree pizza is all about the bread, even though I prefer a thick crust I indulge in the toppings as well! I think the toppings are the most important part!
