  • A cousin of mine takes used vegetable oil from restaurants and converts it to fuel. He said he saves thousands, actually about 3,500 a year. He was in the local paper for it too. :)

  • I'm seriously looking for a car to convert to run like this. I've heard of people getting 60+ MPG with a regular car. You have to do extra work to get the oil, but I personally think it's worth it. I heard of a person in Australia that actually got charged for tax evasion for running her car on veggie oil. Apparently, over in Australia, they don't like you not having to pay the tax on fuel. I haven't heard of anything like that happening in the US or the UK, but it's a good idea to keep a heads up anyway.
