Toyota's quality and repair record is almost beyond reproach. That's how they managed to eclipse GM as the biggest auto manufacturer in North America.

go with the Toyota! i've bought 3 brand new and they never fail me!

Count another vote for 'yota. If you manage to kill a 'yota, you don't deserve to drive.

darn double post

I like tiny but I cram myself into a Corolla, I need elbow room.

YARIS!
-
I know nothing about the Yaris except that it's cute... and way too small for me.
-
I own a 07 Yaris S, LOVE IT. Great gas mileage and it hasn't given me any problems.
-
I would choose the chevy.... why you ask well simply because I am a chevy girl!!!

The cobalt comes with a killer warranty, but they are simply not good vehicles until you get to the SS level. I like GM, but I've probably driven 35 different cobalts/G5s and they are all the same - the look decent from the right angle, have decent power, and are decent little cars. However, the interiors are crap, everything scratches easily, the transmission is like a little kid (shifts whenever it feels like it and not a second sooner), and they simply feel inferior. Not a 'yota guy but I must say go with the Yaris. S means it will have some extra features over the cobalt (assuming that's a base version), and it's got a hatch for loading ease. I'm just not a fan of the center mount gauges, among other things.

I would take the Toyota yaris, it is a nice ecnomic car.

Cobalt

The Toyota. It is more economical, better gas mileage. Plus...Chevy's just suck...sorry.

The Yaris has received poor to mediocre reviews. I would consider the Cobalt, but frankly would consider the Honda Fit over either of them.
