There are ways of making an income online but contrary to all the spammers and scamers it does actually take work. First you have to look if you have any marketable skills. Graphics design, html, programming, database, et cetera. There is much work out there for freelancers with skills. Take a look at the freelance sites out there and you can see what people pay for.

If you don't have any marketable skills you can look into selling as an affiliate marketer. This is commission based work selling other companies products.

Depending on the company they may give you your own website. However, if you can not map your own domain to it this will be very hard to market.
