i belive...love at fist sight is attraction..thats it...

I used to , now I kinda stand back and watch , before deciding + 5

No, not the first time I "see" him/her because that puts the focus on outward appearance...that is not a good basis for moving forward in a potential relationship. I need to listen to what he/she has to say and if it makes sense to me and sounds reasonable then my interest is piqued...If the person is a bigot, or generally unkind and critical in any discussion, I move on. If the person is funny, lighthearted or serious-minded but in a helpful way, then I stay and see what happens.

Yes and yes. Odd isn't it?
-
Yes and no. My first impressions of people have often been wrong.

Not really. I do make up my mind quickly if I'm *not* going to like someone. Something just makes me wary and keen to distance myself from them. Once someone flicks this switch, they sort of fade from my consciousness and become socially invisible to me. The people I like don't cause this, but neither do many I am ambiguous towards. For me, people need to 'stick around' for a while before I make any kind of decision as to 'like' or 'ambiguous'. I'm honest enough to think that I'm often going to be wrong using this method. It's a process that uses a host of protection mechanisms learned long ago, and has developed into something of an instinct.

I usually know if i'll like someone by the way my first conversation goes. I usually can tell by their mannerisms and personality and i make up my mind usually in the first encounter. Can't help myself...first impressions are important to me. In my experiance, i've been correct.

You have to have a physical attraction first. Because we are visual... but there is more than that...depends on your mood and surrondings. I've been on both sides and come to find it takes about three months to know whether there's anything there or not. Love at first sight is old school. Like when a father would give away his daughter because he fixed his wooden wheel.
