If someone asks you a question, and you answer either in a way that offends them, or the answer itself offends them, what do you do? (This is a question of what you do, not what I should do :P)

As long as i told the truth i don't care how they respond. Because the truth is truth no matter who it offends.

I read through my answer to find what has offended them. If I find that the words I used could cause offence I apologise and, if necessary, edit my answer. One of the problems with written communication is that you can't hear inflection or see facial expression and body language so sometimes it's possible to cause offence without intending to.

If that every happens I would apologize to them and see where I made a hurtful answer and change it , if I feel I see what they mean - + 5

Simple!!!! A STUPID QUESTION DESERVES A STUPID ANSWER!!! What do you do, turn the conversation into something with a more positive outcome to both parties, and move away from the subject...
