Is this an insult, or flirting?
I texted my crush (I think he likes me, but I don't know) for help with science homework, and he took a lot of time and was very patient with me! I thought he was being sweet, but when I texted "Thank you so much for taking the time to help me figure it out" he replied with "Welp, I've got to at some point."
Is that an insult to my intelligence? As in, he thinks I need help with my science? I'm a strait A student!

Tell him you are confused and don't know what that means.

He doesn't have to think you need help. You actually told him it.. Yes I would take it as an insult. He was slickly telling you he's much smarter. Move on.

Or perhaps he just wanted to do a 'good deed'. And help someone out.
