I had a similar problem - tiny sunscreen hand prints along the side of my Jag - which would not wash off! The proper way to fix this problem would be to take your car into a paint shop and let the professionals do their work. Alternatively, you could try applying a paint restoring compound (available from any auto shop). I tried Holts - Cut n Shine which did the job nicely. There are other products out there such as T-Cut. They all work in the same way by gently removing a tiny layer of top paint at each application. If you do try this approach, then be sure to first try the compound on a small inconspicuous area. Warning: Be very careful when applying paint restoring compound as you could end-up doing more harm than good. http://www.autocalculator.org
