Which is better for less maintanence and cost: Outboard engines or Stern Drive engines? please help

    Stern drive is nothing more than a crash box and outboards can be rediculous. Buy a shaft boat, best way to go.

    I won't be in the water as I know someone with a good shaft boat.Twin screws.So,take that!

    Outboards. Stern drives (which are very nice) can be money pits.
