  • Sitting on blocks doesn't keep a MH from being tied down. It should be, and the only reason I can think of that it wouldn't is that the local building codes don't require it. I can't imagine anyplace where that's true anymore, but I suppose it's possible. maybe you should check. Underpinning is helpful and may also be required; it helps prevent wind from getting underneath and lifting.

  • There is just as much security and safety with a home on piers. You can add more piers and that home isnt going to move an inch.
  • They are tied down! And in some places you're required to underpin them as well.
