  • As long as your case stayed within the juvenile authority, then yes the rule applies. As for becoming a police officer, most agencies only restrict you if you have a felony. In either case, you can because your records are sealed.
  • I can't speak for Texas, but in Michigan they will completely expunge a juvenile record - even felonies in some cases - if you record has been clean for that long. You would have to go through the courts to get it done, but it's a relatively easy process, as in it doesn't require a governor's pardon/clemency of any kind.
  • I have made application to become a Peace Officer in Texas. The agency I have applied with told me my juvenile record has no bearing on whether or not I become an officer. It does not matter what you're juvenile record has, especially if you have had no further record since your 18th birthday.
