Oh, definitely in the woods. The beach is much too sandy to camp on, and if it happened to rain, NO way do I want to be on the beach camping!
-
I would rather be on/by the beach. Some of the most enjoyable camping trips I've been on were on the beach.
-
1. Boreal forest. (not rain forest or jungle) 2. Humid sub tropical white sand beach.
-
I could get the best of both worlds if it was the Pacific Northwest where the forests plunge into the sea and there are a few beaches. But i think the forests win me over. We live in the woods and it's so fascinating here. I lived for years at the beach, would sleep outside and I guess it's over for me now.
-
I would rather camp in woods that are near the beach. (Such as Point Mugu down in Malibu.)
-
I would rather camp on the beach. It will be more tropical, and I love that.
-
I'll take the beach, the sound of the waves crashing would make for a good nights sleep but the spooky ol' woods have spooky ol' sounds.
-
In the woods for sure. I'll just be sure to bring along a lot of mosquito repellent. That sounds like a real good time all the way.
-
The woods....
-
I live in the coastal redwoods so I get to camp in the woods then wake up and walk 100 feet and be on the beach. It is definatly better to have your tent in the woods because it helps block the wind and gives you a bit of privacy.
-
the best of both worlds, Torrey Pines state Beach http://www.torreypine.org/parks/ocean.html
-
beachfront woods sounds nice, wake up to a good scenery, and get best of both scenarios.
-
The woods.
-
The woods, I don't like sand in my food with wears down you teeth much quicker.
-
The woods. i don't like the beach too much the sunburns suck.
-
Camp in the woods is EDUCATING and EXCITING!
-
I do both camp in the woods on the beach at Point Magu campground in Malibu, CA.
-
Woods! So much more fun way more spooky!
-
a pond in the woods.
-
Beach!
-
This is a tough one. OK, make it the beach in the winter months, and trees in the summer. I am from Canada (can you tell). Or can I come too????
-
The woods. Wind at the beach is horrible. Wind in the forest is exciting and freshening. Cold at the beach makes it stark when camping. Cold in the forest, with all the wood you can make a campfire and enjoy the warmth. It's harder to stake out your tent in sand. But the scenery is nice at the beach and there might be tidepools. But I prefer creeks and streams and waterfalls, flowers and soft duff trails under beautiful trees.
-
In the redwoods, by a river.
-
on the beach
-
I camp in the woods quite frequently. So I would have to go with the beach. Something different.
-
The woods. http://www.videojug.com/film/how-to-prepare-for-a-trip-to-the-wilds This video made it an extremely enjoyable experience for me and my family! There's just something much more exciting about camping in the woods..plus I hate sand!
-
I want to say the woods, but I've never camped on a beach. I'd like to try it first before I make my final answer.
-
I'd rather camp in the woods, next to the beach :)

CAMPING IN THE WOODS
-
the woods is best i tried the beach the deeper the better.
-
Definitely the woods, especially if it was in the mountains. I like the beach but it is somewhat boring...flat and featureless.
-
Definitely the woods, Hmm I can smell the fire now, & now I'm feeling itchy from poison Ivy. From dragging the dead wood through the Ivy patch. :) yup the woods.
