I don't know if I would get more points, but I know I'd GIVE a few more points. I've seen some comments worth giving points too that have made me a bit saddened that I couldn't give them any. =P

I would probably have less points. Because comments tend to illicit my personal opinions more than questions and answers. And there seems to be a wide divergence of opinions about various things here. You might not get as many if you had points attached to them.

Negative points aren't deducted from your overall total, they just affect the position of an answer relative to other answers and show on your profile what proportion of positive ratings you have for questions and answers. So, if points were awarded for comments, everybody who posts a comment would have more points.

More probably because I really like the comments threads you can either joke or debate. Serious or funny. In the answers you have to stay within certain guidlines giveing an answer to the question. In the comments you can express yourself much better.
