  • People do learn things that they normally wouldn't if they don't like reading, like facts and stuff. But to learn about life that is something they need to learn from their family.

  • It's empty learning for children because they don't have real-world experience to make it have meaning. Excessive TV watching by children is now thought to be responsible for the high rise in autism - it might also occur natrually through a hormone imbalance, but TV watching and the disconnect fro reality artificially boosts it trmendously. Warning: TV is not good for children - they need real-world experience.
  • The tv is a wonderful teacher. You learn how to be a constant mindless consumer. It helps you add bulk to your frame. And your mind is filled with hours and hours of endless dribble about vapid people. As a bonus your soul is sucked right out of you!
