Do you think that your dog's feet smell like fritos? i know it's a weird question, but go find your dog and smell the pads of their paws... do they smell like fritos/corn chips?

I have noticed that dirty clothes in the laundry basket can get a similar smell after a while. I suspect that it's a combination of skin oils and salt that start to smell like the frying oil and salt on a corn chip. However, that is only speculation on my part.

ROFLMAO...I can honestly say I haven't yet sniffed my dog's paws....although sometimes the back of her neck seems to remind me of maple syrup scent for some odd reason....

I once had a fungus on a toenail and my husband told me that it looked like "a frito corn chip". Well, I can't say I sniff the bottom of my cat's feet because they walk around in a litter box. I like to smell my cat's necks because they have a musky cat aroma that I find very coomforting.

YES YES YES YES YES!!!!!!! DOG PAW PADS SMELL BEAUTIFUL!! I CANT BELIEVE SOME ONE FINALLY KNOWS WHAT I AM TALKING ABOUT, I HAVE 2 ENGLISH MASTIFFS ACTUALLY ONE IS CROSS WITH GREAT DANE (apparently!) AND I MAKE ALL MY FRIENDS SMELL THE BOTTOM OF THEIR PAWS AND NOBODY CAN SMELL THE YUMMY SMELL THAT I HAVE ALWAYS BEEN ABLE TO SMELL ON THE UNDERNEATH OF DOGS PAWS SINCE I WAS A KID, I AM NOW 32! They absolutely do! We've always thought that, and corn chips is the exact description we always used. Must be the salty factor - don't they sweat through their noses and pads? Anyway, that saltiness mixed with the earthy tones from walking outside must mix for the Fritos smell.

Yes, they do. Sometimes when my dog wakes up in the morning I hug and cuddle him and he smells like pancakes. It is a very comforting smell and I read somewhere that is a chemical reaction. I think Retroglide is right, it may have something to do with the corn that is used in their food.

WOAH! My roommate (browndog on answerbag) has also said that dog's paws smell like Fritos. I always thought she was weird. Now I think she should make a friend.

when I smell my dog and she smells Frito-y I know she has a yeast infection going on...it is a sign for me to watch her ears and and her scratching...we give her benadryl for allergies

YEs! My Great Dane's paws definately smell like corn chips or fritos. my wienner dog's paws don't smell at all. Both girsl are on Eagle Pack holistic dog food which is supposed to be great, so i don't think it is their diet. Maybe it is just the way God made them? I like her fri-toes!

This is funny. My daughter always said her cats paws smelled like Fritos. I told her to stop smelling them, hahaha, boy that's funny.

My dogs feet smell like cookies! I've worked in a kennel where one of the dogs had reaaly bad smelling feet, you could smell him when you entered the stable. Like had been wearing sneekers......

Yes! OMG!!! My dog's feet smell like Fritos and they smell delicious. I want to lick them and suck on their paws. LOL.
