  • Yes, have you ever seen them actually jump off of another player? Most of these things are not illegal until recently. I believe for now that is very possible.
  • Not really! Did RB Reggie Bush illegally pushed QB Matt Leinart into the end zone for the winning touchdown against Notre Dame. The NCAA rule officially states "no player of the team shall grasp, push, lift or charge into the runner to assist him in forward progress." It's a five yard penalty. Tom Hansen, commissioner of the Pac-10, said officials could have called a penalty against Bush. Hansen also said he could not recall when that particular rule was last enforced, particularly in a goal line situation. I've watched many a TD over the past years where OL push or "assist" their RBs into the end zone and I never see that get called by officials. "He didn't push him in," Coach Carroll said. "He did knock into him. He didn't pile drive him into the end zone."
  • Yes, I'm not quete sure what the call is but it is a penalty to push one of your teamates into the endzone
  • Never mind
  • if its unintentional, yes
  • It is illegal to push a ballcarrier for any gain whatsoever. Matt Leinart did this against Norte Dame pushing Reggie Bush in for game-winning td. Was not called.
  • ya i know football and it is legal
  • Not legally. But this rule is seldom enforced. It goes against the history of the game. In early American Football (and still in Rugby) helping your ball carrier in this way was considered good teamwork.
  • It is illegal and should be called.
  • Who knows any more! Now it appears that the QB is untouchable!? :( The little sissy girl cry baby losers need to go back to making rules for something else!
