As a comic-book writer your creating a team of superheroes. Your sensitive to diversity issues, but are concerned that if you make characters of color, gay or both, you will be accused of tokenism and appropriation. What do you do?

You can have the diverse characters, but don't let them fit into certain stereotypes. Also, perhaps if you have more than one character of a certain ethnicity/background, it won't be perceived as a token since there is more than one.
