I have a 2005 Toyota Corolla. When you lock the car only the lights flash, is there a way to make it beep or chirp as well?

You can probably do it by splicing into your lights on the circuit that sends your "Light flashing" signal when you push the remote button....You would also have to spice in a little beep beep horn to get that sound, unless you just wanted to have your horn beep instead, in any case you would have to get a wiring diagram

I checked with a Toyota dealership today and they say it can not be done on corollas 2005 and up the reason I have a 06 corolla and wanted the same chirp in place of headlamps flash

Push the lock button twice on the remote. Once again, said information is contained in the owner's manual. I'm beginning to think they should save paper and not provide a manual...no one seems to read them.

- I don't know what kind of car you drive but that idea doesn't work on a 05 corolla...I think you should read the Corolla manual not the Lexus

- Every vehicle I've ever had has beeped when the lock button was pushed twice. Never owned a corolla. In that case, get an aftermarket alarm and you can make it chirp, beep, wail, flash, etc.

- OK...But this question was about a (((05 corolla))) and you chastised this person for not reading his manual correctly trying to make him look stupid here...Seems your the one that should be "Chastised" for not reading the question correctly........

- Take a look around. 80% of the questions on this site could be answered if people just read their manuals. They decide not to and come on here for information they already have in their vehicles. I assumed this was another one of those questions. I have driven a corolla once (I think an '04) and it chirped for me. One of those loaner cars so no fancy alarm. Given that, I logically assumed the next model year would have the same feature. Chastise me all you want. See how much I care.
