I sell my handmade crafts for money to donate to charities. When I am at a charity fair, I give my crafts away as gifts to anyone who makes a donation to the charity. I have often made arrangements with a charity to give my work to anyone who makes a donation in the charity thrift store. Most people prefer to donate money directly to the charity, because they can get a tax deduction. If you give money to a person who is not working directly for the charity (without a 501c tax exemption number)you can't use it as a tax deduction.
