  • Free websites for selling vehicles are usually free because they have a small audience and lots of ads. If you want to get more prospective buyers go on autotrader, buysell, etc. You will get more hits and more chances of a sale. As for pricing, black books go back 15 years only, so your 17 year old car wouldn't be listed. I'd look online and/or in the paper for similar vehicle listings and see what they are going for. Then check the next week to see if any of those have sold, and at what price. It takes some work but will help you establish a price that will both a) get you a decent return on your vehicle and b) ensure your vehicle actually sells and does not get overlooked for similar vehicles selling for less. But, for free sites you can use craigslist, carpages.ca and tradepoint.ca.
