I know that I am in the minority, but I am surprised that is so little time witchcraft and sorcery were brought into the mainstream and parents encourage their children to learn explore these things. The Bible clearly warns us about the occult.

I like them. But the Bible and the Koran are against magic, sorcery, witchcraft, etc. as it is, in their opinion, against God and His wishes.

There is nothing offensive in the books. All the controversy surrounding the books are a creation of the religious right who have set it up as the perfect target. It's a children's book that mentions "magic" and actually gets children to (Gasp) read. Were the book less popular there would be no controversy. Were it not a children's book there would be no controversy. The RR has used paternal instincts, fear and ignorance to stir up the easily mis-lead to rally against the books. Ask anyone who speaks out against them if they have read the books. They haven't.

The books supposedly promote witchcraft which the church and other religions find bad. I think the books are fine. I don't see how they do that.
