Another good question. I have done many things for which I feel guilt. At 44 years of age, the list would be long. Now I am going to sail off topic slightly... I have, also, sought to make restitution, both by apology and by action. Apology is nothing without action to back it up, whatever action is required for the offense. Then, it is up to the person I am making restitution to to accept or deny the restitution. Part of restitution to someone I have wronged is understanding how I have wronged them and making changes so I do not commit the same offense twice. If I have made adequate efforts towards restitution and they have been denied by the person who I wronged, I walk away and I realize that I have, indeed, done my best. With my doing my best I can walk away with the guilt expunged.
