No, he should have paid it while the child was growing up. It was his duty to support his child. However, better late than never.

No. He has already put off paying it for far too long. IMHO, he should be paying a decent interest rate on the money. When you bring a child into this world, you are responsible for the child - including financially. Someone else bore the financial burden of raising that child, including your boyfriend's portion. The current age of the child does NOT change that. Your boyfriend owes a lot of money to someone, and he should pay it.

It doesn't matter if the child is 90 years old, if he owes back child support then he HAS to pay it until it's paid off.

You can "unscrew" a lightbulb, but you cannot "unscrew" a pregnant woman. If he didn't have a relationship that lead to a human life, then he wouldn't have to help support it. He should of thought more carefully about making a baby. I think you need to find a boyfriend with deeper pockets if paying child support is a problem.
