Help answer this question below.
Much more than you are the government are willing to spend - and the cost would continue to rise after deportation. The economy would suffer; businesses would fail; and there would be a decrease in tax revenue. Your food dollars would not go as far. The government and your elected officials know this, but no one has the courage to tell the people who are so caught up in the sensationalism of this issue spurred on by mindless shock jocks whose live by hyperbole and sound bites.
Something should be done on this issue, but no one is addressing it in all of its complexity or bringing forth comprehensive plans. The first goal of those who have been entrusted with the solutions is to get elected and that is creating a massive stalemate - which I think they are fairly comfortable with.
