  • I have found that one's manager or supervisor has a great deal to do with the strength of one's voice in the workplace. To answer your question, yes, I have felt that way. My manager didn't pay much attention to the things my crew said.
  • Yes, yes I do, I also suffer from foot-in-mouth disease, because when I feel I'm not being listened to I get sarcastic, obnoxious, and a bit over-the-top. I can't say it's ever gone well for me either way, I get a lot of looks and comments that make me think people question my mental stability!
  • If you do your job well, and get paid for it, what more is there?
  • All the time. Sounds like I work for the same company as you. I have been proving the lack of integrity of my counterparts who work the other side of the week, we work a 3-day/4-day week. My boss and our shift lead always say they are concerned and will do something. Nothing ever changes, so I stopped speaking up. I was on vacation last week and there was a request that my co-workers couldn't satisfy. An executive got very upset and my co-workers had to write a letter explaining why they couldn't perform the request. It was due to the incompetent workers on the other end of the week. You think my boss and the team lead will listen to me now?
  • All the time, and not just at work. I was born without a larynx. (ok, I'm lying)
