In my younger and more vulnerable years my father gave me some advice I've been turning over in my mind ever since. "Whenever you feel like going to Japan," he told me "just remember that the kitty is evil and it was cursed by cuteness which soon consumed the island along with electronic wizardry."

I grew up with it . Everytime I would go with my grandmother ( japanese ) to the Meiji or Marukai market , she would buy my Hello Kitty stuff

Hello Kitty was around when I was a kid and although I wasn't crazy about it, I owned a couple of Hello Kitty stuff. We just like cute things, for whatever reason :).
