  • Not being an AB staffer I can only put in a guess... since it looks the same as normal AB.com I would suggest that it is to do with protecting the domain name of AB, as there are a lot of users in the UK - maybe there was a fear that someone would use the name AB.co.uk, so AB got in first. In saying that, though, there are a lot of Aussie users and there is no AB.com.au.
  • Joel told me that it's because .co.uk pages rank higher on Google search, thus UK users are more likely to find Answerbag. They've owned the domain for a long time (since the beginning perhaps) but they've only just decided to use it in order to try and attract more people.
