May I ask if you have consulted the company handbook for any guidelines on this type of activity? Maybe you can show them something that would constitute their behavior as "non-working" and therefore prohibited? My office is very small and there is a handbook on prohibited behavior and activity. If they are handing out leaflets or doing fund raisers for the church, they could be in violation of company policy.

No you are not wrong but I'm afraid that there is nothing you can do. In the UK at least, everyone seems terribly afraid of upsetting the religious sector. Sadly, they spend much of their time being upset and offended by just about anything you care to mention. How fanatical is this person? Can you describe how?

How inappropriate is he? Does he answer each and every answer with "god" this, and "Heaven" that, or scriptures? Does he pass out religious materials? Does he wear "Jesus is Love" stuff, and cover his desk with it? I would talk to your boss about this issue. If it makes you uncomfortable because he seems to be pushing his religious beliefs on everyone, that's not okay. He's welcome to believe what he wants- we just shouldn't have to be forced to do it with him. Talk to your boss. If they don't do anything about it, it might be time to look for another job.
