We all develop different musical tastes as we do different personalities. Music reflects our culture, our surroundings and our mood too. It can be challenging to the senses or soothing to the soul. At different times in our lives musical preferences change and progress. They can also stay stuck in an era or particular genre. Like a fingerprint, no two are exactly the same. You and I could have the same personality yet we may listen to and appreciate different sounds. We could even listen to the same sounds but not at same volume or bass/treble settings. It’s about perception of sound and musical diversity. All music is good. Some of it is lazy or repetitive yet even that has charm and creativity. Personally, I believe all music is good and all preferences should be respected even if not appreciated.
