Why do some questions get answers right away and others just seem, to float down the page and off into oblivion, never to be seen again?

To me, there are several factors involved. - The matter of such question having an universal appeal, something almost everybody can relate to in one way or another. - An original, funny, witty question always gets your attention faster. - Very specific questions (too technical, too obscure) although valuable, have a smaller audience. - And yes, sometimes the level of acceptance of the ABer asking it weighs a lot in the participation of people in it.

I've got a ton of orphan questions. I don't know, I guess they slipped off the radar. For any and all questions that are answered for the first time within my queue of questions that are not dated today (insert current date) that are answered I will award an automatic 6 points to the first answerer. It has to be a well thought out answer though. I love to ask questions and sometimes they are difficult to answer so I can understand why they fall to the wayside but I love getting answers because I get to see what how people answer. Thanks for reading all of this.
