  • I have a pair of painting jeans that started out as regular jeans - oops lead to my deciding to keep that pair for yard work, painting, sanding, staining, even working on the car/truck.
  • I wouldnt toss them. I were them to do other dirty jobs like Athrael suggested and eventually, when I get paint on another pair of pants- which I will do- these first pair become work shorts!
  • Some people would take this as a sign that you should buy more paint and just paint several more places on the pants, then glue trim around the paint spots, and make it look like designer pants.
  • When I have clothes that are no longer suitable for decent public wear, they become what my wife and I call "gardenwear".
  • It sounds like you might have a good pair of painting pants.
  • Sounds like half of my jeans and BDU pants!!! i keep them and some turn into shorts.
  • It depends on how much paint, where the drops are, and the color. I have gone on to add extra drops and stripes of paint to make flowers - like appliques. I have also added appliques to cover spots if they are in decent spots for this. Sometimes, if the spots were large and ugly, I would stitch a pocket or a patch over it. Cut-offs? Then again, keeping them for paint pants is always good so you don't ruin another pair.
