I have a pair of painting jeans that started out as regular jeans - oops lead to my deciding to keep that pair for yard work, painting, sanding, staining, even working on the car/truck.

I wouldnt toss them. I were them to do other dirty jobs like Athrael suggested and eventually, when I get paint on another pair of pants- which I will do- these first pair become work shorts!

Some people would take this as a sign that you should buy more paint and just paint several more places on the pants, then glue trim around the paint spots, and make it look like designer pants.

When I have clothes that are no longer suitable for decent public wear, they become what my wife and I call "gardenwear".

Sounds like half of my jeans and BDU pants!!! i keep them and some turn into shorts.

It depends on how much paint, where the drops are, and the color. I have gone on to add extra drops and stripes of paint to make flowers - like appliques. I have also added appliques to cover spots if they are in decent spots for this. Sometimes, if the spots were large and ugly, I would stitch a pocket or a patch over it. Cut-offs? Then again, keeping them for paint pants is always good so you don't ruin another pair.
