In Windows Vista, does Media Center put any DRM on what you record from cable? What about digital cable?

At the present time, it does not. However the facility exists within Vista, and can be switched on remotely by Microsoft at any time. They have chosen not to do so as yet, since the bad publicity it would generate may jeopardise sales of Vista early on in its lifespan. They will probably turn this feature on next year.
