Thsi is natural for puppies, my puppy was exaclty the same. Try jiving him lots of praise and attention then he plays with his toys and when he bites people just give him a gentle tap on the nose, tell him no, put him on the floor if you have hold of him and ignore him for 5/10mins, during this time no one should pay any attention to him including making eye contact with him. By doing this he will soon associate biting people with being ignored and leanr not to bite you.

If he refuses to stop, then stop playing with him until he calms down. A strong NO!, with a tap on the nose, or pinch of the ear (simulates Mom biting him), will help as well.

Your puppy needs you to be the number one dog in the house. Therefore you need to teach him how to behave, not be his mate. When he nips, you stop him, sit him down, look him in the eyes (even hold his muzzle) and say, firmly and angrily "NO!" However, as others have said, praise him when he bites his toy. What most people forget is that dogs are pack animals. The best way to relate to them is by being a pack animal- but you must be the Alpha male/female.

Maybe he's sad cuz you call him a pupy?

You didn't mention his age, but as said...this is rather typical puppy behavior. It can be in part increased if the puppy was taken from the Mother and Siblings before age 12 weeks. The extra time helps greatly reduce this behavior most of the time because the puppy learns that such actions cause THE GAME TO END. YOU can also teach THIS LESSON. When he bites or tries to bite skin, you offer the toy (also look into getting a Kong that you can put yummy treats in...up the reward so to speak...treats should win over a bland tasting hand or arm! Use GOOD treats..get some human grade plain beef jerky add to kibble or even plain yogurt that you can freeze over night to last longer!) No matter what toy you are offering, if he doesn't take the toy and continues to go for YOU..get up, remove yourself from the game...wrong behavior means the GAME ENDS. If he's a very young pup...you may not be able to totally leave him alone, you don't want accidents happening, but suddenly ignoring the pup, because of his inappropriate behavior is EXACTLY what Mom-dog or sibs would do...GAME OVER CHUMP! You only need to ignore him long enough for him to realize that the game is indeed over plus about a minute or so...not usually 5 to 10 min...less is generally about right..as soon as he seems to comprehend...you've made your good point! Then don't fuss over him but maybe ask him to do something acceptable that he can earn a reward for doing, such as "come" or sit...if you've began his training. If you haven't yet...start now! If he is under 4 months of age, he won't be capable of staying focussed for more than a few minutes at a pop, but he can still start learning HOW to learn...do this..earn a reward (Praise/Treat). If he is 4 to 6 months you can actively practice your training lessons for about 10 minutes at a time! Make training lots of fun...and he'll learn to love these special times with you.

I had a puppy that did the same thing. What you do is... when he does bite, stand up, and in a low, stern but NOT loud voice say "no bite"! After a while, maybe 2 to 3 weeks. He will still bite, but when you say "no bite," he will stop right there. Then don't just start playing again. After he stops biting, praise him. Say something like, "Good boy/girl!" (use whatever suits you)Then just start playing again! I hope this helps you!!

Every time your puppy tries to bite you, whine or moan loudly that it hurts(yes they'll catch on) When he's in a biting mood try to wrestle his paws into his mouth so those tiny little sharp teeth are biting himself. Be stern and make him realize that his biting will hurt, it's also been suggested to pull his lip over his teeth so it will hurt his lip if he bites. Remember a dog mouth is the closest thing they have to our opposable thumbs, and refining how to use that just takes some practice.

Like many undesirable canine behaviors, destructive habits usually develop because a dog is bored, lonely, or both. It's not fair or realistic to expect your dog--especially a working breed --to spend long hours quietly sitting and waiting for your return. By nature dogs are curious and sentient beings; see that she has enough mental and physical stimulation to minimize the impulse to dig and chew. Here's hot to treat this problem http://dogtime.com/chewing-digging-behavior.html
