Has anyone else noticed the HUGE increase in spam/nonsense messages over the past few days? Anyone else think if we were to send the kids back to school this would immediatly stop?

Yes I have, however I feel it is inappropriate to point the finger at 'kids' when we really don't know the age of the offenders. Some of the baggers most valuable members are younger and they should not be discriminated against simply because of their age. It's about maturity and clearly these spammers are immature but that does not always correlate directly with age.

I don't think it's fair to blame our younger members. It could be demontrolls who are more bored than usual using alternate identities.

I don't think that would solve the problem. We could somehow make a system to block such messages from ever entering if possible.

I think they should make people like nevets etc with a lot of experience and points on this site become moniters. Yes we can flag them, but that takes a while and the wrong doers could offend someone by then.if people like the senior AB's were able to block them then that might sort the problem.
