  • I generally just tell them, politly at first, that I am not interested and to please stop calling, if I get a call again I will repeat what I said the first time round. After maybe 5 calls I tend to just hang up on them.
  • i think the idea of calling peoples house is simply nouisance so there are evry grounds to mess with telemarketers heads. really does anybody take them serious and buy what thier selling???
  • I just hang up on them, it's not that hard to do.
  • I know they are a pain, but they are only doing thier job, trying to earn a living like the rest of us. I politly tell them no thanks.
  • Saw it on Crank Yankers: I give my brother the other phone when one is calling and he knows the drill already - • His job is to pick up the phone every time I signal and ask to use the phone with increasing emergency. • I let him interrupt once before they even say much and he just politely asks to use the phone, I say no. I let the person get as far in the sales pitch as they can until they need to start asking questions. Then every time they start a sentence I signal and little bro picks up the phone and asks to use it. •So they get nowhere and start to get agitated and basically say they will call back later, I express interest and tell them I really would like to do this. •Little bro picks up phone and asks to use, I say to him that my call is very important and that I have to leave for work soon and would like to finish talking on the phone. •You could take this as far as you want.
  • The best two choices are to just hang up if not interested, or to listen and buy if you are. But if you really want to MESS with them, try the following. This is from the movie "Ruthless People" ... in the movie it is for a wrong number that interupts a guy at his office being asked questions by a police detective ... "Who are you calling for?" "I'm sorry, she can't talk with my penis in her mouth. I'll have her call you back when we are through." ... hang up ... he then says to the cop, "I love wrong numbers."
