Well, I didn't get lost, but I got stuck in one of those circle drives in Europe, and we had to keep driving in circles for hours until it died down.

In Toronto, Canada we took a cab to a bar, a friend of mine got way too drunk and got himself into a fight and then just walked off without us seeing where he went.. We were pretty lost ourselves this being our first night there. So we thought the best thing to do was get a few more drinks then get a cab back. When we got back to the hotel his shoes were gone and we didn't see him in bed. We ran into some kids from Michigan in the hallway that were staying in the next room over, they got us all really baked and we went searching. We basically found a vending machine and we went back to the room. I walked into the bathroom to piss and found my friend passed out in the bathtub with all is clothes on.

Yes. When I was in Germany when I was 16, I had to return a library book at a place that my cousin had previously driven me to. I think my plan was to take a cab there and then walk back but after I returned the book I realized I had no idea how to get back. I walked around for a little while and began to panic. Finally a taxi happened to drive by and I flagged it down. I was so relieved!

Yes in Redding, CA. I was there for a few months in 2002, I went for a late night walk and ended up in the wrong part of town (most us cities have black neighbourhoods where it is not safe for a white person to walk). I kept walking hopeing not to get into any trouble but then a group of youths (16-20 I guessed, age) saw me and I had no real option but to ask for directions. I completely expected to get shot (too many "Menace 2 Society" film viewings on my part!!!). But the guys invited me onto their porch and we shared a few beers, they then gave me a ride back to where I was staying! Nice guys!

Loads of times. It´s the best way to get to know new places! Can be great fun too, although it can wear of sometimes. Like in Wroclaw, Poland, when we were trying to get to my friends house for the night and never could find it or reach her on cell. (We had never been there before). Was worried for some time then, especially when we hoped we had the right house and barged into an unknown family´s living room. Turned out it was, and suddenly it was hilarious.

I haven't, but my wife has been unable to find her accommodation on her arrival in a foreign country twice, once in the USA and once in Spain. In the USA she paid a taxi to lead her to the bungalow she was renting with friends and in Spain a policeman led her to her hotel in his car.
