Pots not taboo. It's a natural plant that the indians use to smoke before going into battle. That and opium. Not Taboo. . Just Misunderstood

From what I've read, there were rumours spread in the beginning of the 1900's about marijuana making people "crazy", mainly in reference to Mexicans and blacks; apparently that was an argument used in making it illegal. There were a bunch of false facts written in newspapers about how it makes people into killers, rapists, etc, etc. Then, afterwards (I'm guessing stemming from that), there came the whole War on Drugs, and D.A.R.E., and considering how they portray pot, it's no wonder... I wouldn't say it's /very/ taboo, though.
