  • What you define as "good" is subjective. For some good may mean a job at a scientific lab. For others, a job at sales is as good as any. But in terms of whether you will survive, probably. However, comfortable living would require greater qualifications. Not necessarily a degree at university, but other short course will do as well. Like a plumbing apprenticeship. Or a quick computing course. These days, just going to school isn't enough to differentiate you from the rest of the crowd.
  • Well, you can start out at a "good job" and work your way up. But it's not like a good career.
  • Of course you can, With Hard work and Perseverance, you can get an awsome job. Look at Charlie Bell, Former CEO of McDonalds wordwide. Charlie started off as a teenager working in a Sydney restaurant, and worked his way up to CEO position. Unfortunately, he was soon thereafter diagnosed with Bowel cancer, and sadly passed away age 44. http://www.licenseenews.com/news/news290.html
  • Yes. Many sales jobs and entrepreneurial jobs (inventors, promoters, internet-based, home-based businesses) end up being very profitable. If you are a self-starter, ambitious and motivated, and your basic skills are solid, I think you can do well. Obviously, if you're a functional illiterate, can't handle a spreadsheet and can't calculate your own commissions, you are a train wreck waiting to happen.
  • It's not as easy as it used to be, but if you work hard you can. My dad only had a high school diploma and he got into a manger position. On top of that, with his overtime he still does he constantly gets bonuses and high recognitions. Finally, since my mother was and is a stay at home mom, he supported the 4 of us just on his hard work. (My mom, himself, my sister and I). That should account for something.
  • Sure. You have more options with college, but maybe you don't want those options. You can start a business. You can learn a trade. You must understand your own goals, talents, interests, and abilities and be the best you can be. Whether or not you go to college, commit yourself to a lifetime of education. Be a lifetime learner.
  • Yes. I know a lot of college grads that are pumping gas and selling real estate. Mostly I.T. guys. College is no gaurantee.
