Maybe they just WANT you to think it's dangerous...
-
There has been at least one wrestler that I remember hearing about dying. They are basically stunt people. I recall a guy being lowered from a rope a few years back that fell.
-
They do extreme moves and stunts. I consider them to be highly trained and athletic stunt men. They truly push the proverbial envelope. Mistakes happen with every stunt man. A mistake with WWE moves could cause severe injury or even death.
-
The fact that it's called World Wrestling ENTERTAINMENT points to it being fake, but that doesn't stop some of the stunts being incredibly dangerous.
-
Profesional wrestling is not "fake". It is scripted and the match is on occasion rehearsed before hand, also all of the moves the wrestlers do are done in such a way asto look alot more harming than they actually are (example: when they punch they do so with a none clenched fist, it is just held loosely in the shape of a fist. They do still punch there opponent). It is so dangerous because of the nature of what they do! If you like wrestling or not, it doesent matter, the people that take part in the WWE are extreamly well trained athletes (yes they double up as stuntment too) but no ammount of training can ever make up for the suddent surprise of a table breaking while you prepare to jump off it (that is how HHH got his 1st serious injury). Also, falling from a height of 50 foot (about 15 meters) is going to do some serious damage, even if it is through a thin bit of wood and onto alot of foam padding. The WWE is the biggest wrestling entertainment brand in the world at this moment. Its wrestlers are the best PERFORMERS in the wrestling world at the moment (well, some of them are). People that say it is fake and stupid do not accept the fact it is NOT a sport, it is a form of entertainment!

All the wrestlers have to go through intense training before they get in the ring to wrestle. They learn how to apply certain moves, the proper ways to fall when these moves are applied, Etc,Etc. Sometimes accidents do happen if the move or fall is done wrong. For example; look what happened to Owen Hart! May he rest in peace!
-
because sometimes things happen that can't be controlled. They can practice and rehersh but that does not stop it from becoming dangerous.
-
Because even highky trained professional athletes (and these are athletes) make mistakes or have things happen that are beyond their control. It doesn't take away from the skill or athleticism of these people, but injuries are not proof that wrestling is real.
-
It's pre determined but atheletic. Anything atheletic is dangerous.
-
Sometimes but not always a stunt can go wrong. Take for example the plot is jeff hardy is to fly from top rope and land on oooo lets say jbl but as he lands he lands on his foot at the wrong angle and sprangs his ankle not plained but still hurts. He would naturally be out for the next few weeks on recovery for his ankle.
-
because the stunts and moves they attempt can sometimes go wrong and the consequences of this are injury. they don't mean to be dangerous, it just happens
-
look at the ref the ref is always moving is hands in most matches when they are just punching youl see him punch is hand point a finger up and it is pre preaperd becouse on wikipidia if u look at eddie guerro sory if i miss speld it he was suppsod to defeay batitsta to become world heavywieght champion to bad he died and chris benoit was supost to win ecw championship but since he had to go home and do what he did johny nitro wone
-
it's entertainment but it is extremely dangerous those athletes take really big risks i mean take the Big Show Paul Wight for instance, on Sunday night at the pay per view he got smacked in the face with a singapore cane and he's got a fractured eye socket and possibly a fractured orbital bone, he was really lucky he didn't lose his sight. it's nothing to do with steroids, it's what these people do for the sake of their FANS that is important and dangerous it only takes someone like Owen Hart to prove that whatever you do please DO NOT try this at home
-
i work for the wwe coropition in england called werstlleing corpoition which also dose tna aswell but tna and the wwe is NOT FAKE but is staged in addition to this hat happens is they write the storylines that are going to happen i wrote one called cade and murdock break up !!!! but what happens is they fight proopely and they were rummors about a dice gettin rolled before he match this is UNTURE .tna and wwe are real but staged we arue all fans and unfans to not try wwe or tna at home .

Accidents happen. That's why they practice the moves, so as to reduce the chance of someone getting hurt, but you never know what will happen. I saw the video of when Owen Hart fell and died. Just got quiet... So sad.
