Why do many men cringe at the thought of a vasectomy? Are they really that scared of pain?

I've had one...the freezing didn't take quite right, and though it was painful, I've had worse pain, I must say. The nurses actually applauded me for taking it with merely a few winces and some tightly clenched fists.

I'm a woman and I cringe at the thought of a vasectomy. The idea of someone snipping at their plumbing is enough to make anyone cringe.

My husband is so scared of it, but one of his family members had it done and he cried too, so maybe that's why. Well, it's worse for the woman - much more costly, too - and I have heard that a vasectomy is reversible, too. It's only a couple days of pain. Men should go through it over the woman any day. She went through labor for God's sake!
