  • Everything was plastered, walls, floor, ceiling. The echoes were loud and reverberating. My dorm mates (1973-1975) would open their doors and throw cans down the hall, creating the most obnoxious sounds and waking everyone else up. Then there were the times we were "pennied in" and could not open our doors - pretty dangerous. My friends took the tops off coke cans and used them a "spitoons" for their chewing tobacco and sometimes left them in my room. We had room inspections by R.A.s and, as a dorm council member, I'd give demerits for people not flushing the toilets, which I would overturn when I sat on the appeals board. Just some sweet memories of a small Christian college. <G>. Waiting for the laundry room. Sharing one television. The hall phone ringing forever. Waiting for a call from my future wife. Late nights and early mornings. Dorm meetings. The Koreans making delicious smelling soups in their rooms and sharing with me - even more delicious. Mostly, I remember being a part of a community and making some very good friends.
  • Mass Halo (1) games that lasted 'til the wee hours of the morning are quite memorable. And, in general, it was nice that there were always people around, so you basically never got bored.
