How can I change the parental settings on my PS2 if I forgot the password?

Well there is the option of reformatting the PS2 all together (erase all the data) and then making a new one. Otherwise just ask your parents. If you are the parent, do Option 1.

Look in the instruction manual or on the web - there is a backup code that can disable the parental settings so they can be re-set

ok first put in the dvd then go to control panel and select setup then go to parental controls. when it asks you for password press select and enter 7444. after that you can change your password. hope this helps

I bought this PS2 online through ebay and I don't have the instruction manual or the code to erase , or reformat the data... Please help...
