What personality traits keep you from wanting to hang-out socially with a basically likable person?

Well a likeable person doesn't necessarily mean *you* like them or get on with them well socially. However I'm edging towards the view that it isn't a personality trait stopping you from hanging out with the person, more likely you don't want to get close to the person and let your ''defences'' down...an issue which can be a result of past relationships and events in your life.
