A lot of rich kids are spoiled because they are given everything...I think they should be given the tools to earn a living and learn to appreciate what they have...understand the real value of a dollar.

I would understand if the parents had it rough, and wanted their kids not to suffer the same way as they did. However, I think they are doing their kids a disservice by spoiling them, giving them material things without working for it. The kids will learn nothing from it, and when it is time for them to leave. They will be totally vunerable. On the same note,they should treat other people with respect. Just because the others aren't as loaded as you are. It doesn't mean, they are any less valuable. Parents, take your kids to certain areas where people are poor,yet happy. It will give everyone a sense of compassion. Trust me, You'll thank yourself for this. Tara

I think that the rich kid's who are spoilt are brats because they have no responsibilities. Therefore they get the idea that no matter what they do, their actions will have no conciquince. My cousin's were spoilt brats. They had everything handed to them on a silver platter since the day they were born. My Uncle went broke and they had to live like normal people. The eldest son is now a drug addict and blames it all on his father. Teach your kid's responsibility. It makes them better people.

Not all rich kids are spoiled brats just like not all poor kids are dumb & on welfare thats just kind of prejudgice because its placing all kids under that stereotype. But I think the majority of spoiled brats are because their family showers them with material things instead of time & affection which teaches them happiness is bought or the more possesions you have the better you are. Which aint the case, you can have everything in the world but if your not happy inside or learn how to love things & be loved back nothing will make you happy & therefore they usually ain't either thats why they act shallow because they usually are.

you have stereotyped the 'rich kids' genre but i guess they are seen as spoiled brats because basicially, the majority of them get given whatever they want, whenever they want. Often though it is not hte childs fault but rather their parents. By providing their child with every need the parent is leaving the child 'un-prepared' for the 'real world'...
