Actually, criminal background checks can't be run by just anyone for anything. You have to be a certified business, operation, government affiliate or such in order to have that information dissiminated to you. It's against the law to release ANY information regarding someone's criminal history without permission...and you will go to jail for it..along with the person who ran the info for you and gave it to you.
