Before the industrial revoluntion, allmost all goods were manufactored in small shops locally. This hampered greatly the standardisation and quality control of goods and services. Everything was exspensive and trade conditions were poor. After the industrial revolution goods became cheaper and more standartsized. The devolpment of mass transport was proberly the greatest change. This change didn't went without serious growing pains. But in the long run brought prosperity, affordable healthcare and longevitiy to the population of Europe.
