Flamenco guitar is made of slightly thinner wood (especialy top) with aim to make louder sound to compete with percussionists and dancers in flamenco, it can have pickguard near the bridge. Flamenco guitar is almost all in high and high middle frequencies.
It`s made of different wood also. Tops are made of spruce or spanish cedar (traditionaly spanish cedar is more often), but body is made of cypress or sycamore for some newer models. Body depth is also significantly smaller then classical guitar.

A flamenco guitar usually is a little different than a classical guitar. They're a little smaller usually, and they have a golpeador, which is similar to a pick guard that is used for tapping rhythms while playing. They also usually have a lower action than classical guitars which helps them to play faster.

Flamenco guitar originated and is usually performed by the Gitanos (Spanish Gypsy). This is very different from classical guitar.

The most famous band for this is the Gypsy Kings. I do not have much flamenco but I am certain you could do a search for it and locate it.

flamenco guitars tend to sound brighter, precussive, because they use different types of wood than classical guitars which have more of a mellower tone
