  • It's called social responsibility. Those who appear to be interested in helping the community can get a more loyal customer base. It's all about the bottom line - don't kid yourself, they don't really care.
  • I work for a non-profit orginization and we get a lot of corporate support from all over the place. I think its a marketing thing because we advertise for them in return.

  • You have heard of Bill Gates, of course. Founder and Grand Poohbah of Microsoft. Richest man in America? He and his wife, Melinda, have formed a Charitable Foundation from which they donate millions and millions. I think Mr. Gates very much cares...and shows it...and is humble about it. Google the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. As a Foundation...there is no personal tax write-off for him. Just good folk.
