How do I get a Dragon Scale, do I just have to catch a Bagon or Horsea or do I have to evole them to get the scale?

Or do I have to catch a hell of a lot of Bagon and Horsea? Does a Gyarados have a Dragon Scale? Please someone help me, I have caught 199 Pokemon in Sapp/Ruby so far. It is too much to ask for help with 1 Pokemon?

Try this... You can earn it at the Battle Tower if possible. I earned one Dragon Scale when I won from them.

you can get a dragon scale by getting a gameshark and then you could get a dragon night and he will be holding a dragon scale,i have done it before trust me it really works

on pokemon crystal when you capture or defeat gyrados you will get one automatically. believe me i'v played the game three times. i still have not found out what it is for though. p.s my apologies for not knowing what it is for LATER DUDE

ya just have to defeat the red gyrados in pokemon crystal. !!!!! it is that simple!!!!! yet i dont know what it is for... sorry about that

to get the scale you have to have a pokemon that knows thief, next go to meteor falls and encounter a bagon when you do, use theif on it, hopefully it will be holding a dragon scale or any item if they are you will get that item. i have done this before and i got mine in about 10 - 15 minutes, so it takes time but it's worth it. have fun, hope i helped -Matt

im using covet on bagons... ive been doing it for hours!! do i have to kill the bagon after or does covet not work? im getting really annoyed!
